We're Open in Alert Level 2

Our stores are back in business. Our teams are ready to bring you all the things you love about shopping at your local Smiths City.

Alert Level 2 is here and we're stoked to welcome you back into our stores!

The health, safety, and well-being of our customers and teams is still our top priority right now. We’ll be introducing some new ways of doing things to keep us all safe. And that’ll mean that a visit to your local store will be a little different to what you’re used to.

Here’s a bit about what you can expect when you shop in-store in Alert Level 2.

Here's What We're Doing in Our Stores

Say hello to some new ways we're doing things that'll help keep us all safe in Alert Level 2.

We're keeping safe physical distances

We'll be maintaining a safe distance everywhere possible. We've made some changes to our stores to help us make this happen, so we might look a little different to the last time you saw us.

Along with some signs and tips around our stores to help us all remember to keep our distance, you'll notice some floor signage and safety screens at our service counters, too. And where we need to, our store teams will be wearing PPE for extra safety.

We're upping our cleaning and hygiene protocols

Hands, doors, counters, pens - you name it, we're giving it a regular, extra-good clean throughout Level 2. Especially our high-contact surfaces (EFTPOS terminals, we're looking at you!).

We'll also ask that you sanitise your hands when you arrive, when you leave, and before you pick up or try out any of products when you're shopping. Thanks for your help and understanding on this one!

We're managing customer numbers in-store

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the number of shoppers in-store at any one time. It's really important that you can move around our stores comfortably and maintain a safe distance away from others.

If we have to, we may limit entry from time to time to make sure everyone inside has plenty of breathing room.

We're bringing back all the services you've missed

You know it. We know it. We haven't been able to bring you some of the services you expect from us for a while now, and it hasn't been easy for either of us. The great news is they're all coming back in Alert Level 2!

Interest free finance, account payments, repairs, returns, exchanges, in-store Click & Collect, and that good old fashioned advice and hospitality is all waiting for you at your local store from Alert Level 2.

Here's Our Tips for Safe In-store Shopping in Level 2

We're all learning to live life a little differently at the moment. To help, we've put together some quick tips for shopping with us in-store.

Keep your distance & keep it clean

We’re working hard to keep our stores extra safe and hygienic in Level 2. You can give us a hand by:

  • Staying 2 metres away from our team and other customers
  • Sanitising your hands when you arrive and when you leave
  • Being mindful of the things you touch in-store wherever you can

Sign in when you get here

Our HUGE collective effort has kept us all safe so far. But if the worst comes to the worst, contact tracing will help us look out for each other.
