A Q Mastercard provides you with a specified amount of credit that you can access using your Q Mastercard Account and/or Card. You must ensure that your total unpaid balance does not exceed your credit limit.

You can cancel your Q Mastercard at any time as per the cardholder terms and conditions by calling Q on 0800 119 100. You will still be responsible for all transactions made up until that time. The outstanding balance, including interest accrued but not yet charged, and all amounts required to repay any Fixed Instalments, will immediately become due and payable.

Bonus $100 Smiths City Gift Card when you spend $999 or more on 18 Month Zero Payments and Zero Interest Long Term Finance Promotion Terms and Conditions

1. The promotion is valid from Wednesday 24 July until Tuesday 20 August 2024 (the “Promotion Period”).
2. To receive a $100 Smiths City Gift Card (the “Promotion”), you must:
   • Be a new or existing Q Mastercard or Q Card customer, and
   • Apply for and complete a purchase totalling $999 or more on an 18 month payment holiday term with Q Mastercard or Q Card in-store or online at Smiths City within the Promotion Period (the “Qualifying Transaction”)
3. To be eligible for the promotion, together with clause 2 above, you must ensure:
   • your Card Account is open (and not in arrears or overdue) after the Promotional Period ends, and
   • the purchase is for personal shoppers only and excludes Trade and Commercial purchases (“Eligible Customer”).
4. The credit is provided by Columbus Financial Services Limited (Q Mastercard) and Consumer Finance Limited (Q Card), hereafter the “Credit Provider”.
5. If you are an Eligible Customer you will receive the $100 Smiths City Gift Card instore at the time of payment when you complete the Qualifying Transaction. For the avoidance of doubt:
   • You will not receive a $100 Smiths City Gift Card for your second Qualifying Transaction (or any subsequent Qualifying Transactions) made by the Main Cardholder or Additional cardholder.
   • Gift Card cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be used in the transaction for which it is issued.
   • If the sale is cancelled and/or goods returned, Smiths City retains the right to recover the full Gift Card value by a deduction from the refund of purchase amount.
   • Gift Cards expire 12 months from date of activation/issue and are not redeemable online.
   • Only one Gift Card per full purchase amount – payments to qualify for Gift Cards cannot be split.
6. Qualifying Transactions exclude standard Q Mastercard and Q Card transactions.
7. All new Q Mastercard applications will be assessed in accordance with the Credit Provider’s standard approval process. The Credit Provider is not obliged to approve an application and responsible lending obligations apply.
8. All decisions of the Credit Provider and Smiths City are final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
9. The Credit Provider is the promoters and issuers of the Q Mastercard and Q Card and Smiths City are providers of the $100 Smiths City Gift Card. Fulfilment of the Gift Card is also completed by Smiths City. The Credit Provider accepts no responsibility for the quality of goods and services or suitability provided.
10. Participation in this Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and any other applicable terms and conditions and relevant Privacy Statements or Policies.
11. If for any reason the Credit Provider and Smiths City are unable to run the Promotion as planned, they reserve the right (in their sole discretion) to extend, postpone, amend, reschedule or cancel the Promotion at any time on the provision of reasonable notice, which shall include posting notice of the change on www.smithscity.co.nz/q-mastercard.
12. The Credit Provider, Smiths City and any other agencies associated with this Promotion will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which may be sustained, directly or indirectly by any cardholder in connection with this Promotion or use of the product purchased, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
13. To redeem the Smiths City Gift Card simply present it at the time of purchase at any one of Smiths City’s physical stores in New Zealand. The Gift Card is non-refundable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and includes GST. Lost or stolen Gift Cards are the responsibility of the holder. The remaining gift card balance can be checked in-store.
