When we first opened our doors, back in 1918, we were called City Market. Then in 1938 we became Smiths City Market, before dropping the word “Market” in 1988.

You’ve known us as Smiths City for a while now, and we’ll keep being Smiths City, but you’ll also start seeing us looking a bit more local – it felt a bit more relevant seeing as our stores are often in smaller towns.

We still have the same wide range of homewares. And we still offer the same expert advice and easy finance. Now, we just have a bit of a new look.
