We're closed for Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day

As a mark of our respect, and so our team can commemorate the day, we'll be closed on Monday, 26 September, for Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day.

Like so many others, we've observed the recent passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a sense of sadness and loss.

This Monday, 26 September, New Zealand will mark Her Majesty's passing with a one-off public holiday. We have no doubt that many Kiwis across Aotearoa will appreciate having the opportunity to pay their respects and come together in celebration of Her Majesty's life – including our team.

And so, on Monday 26 September, all Smiths City stores, distribution centres, and our customer support centre will be closed, both as a mark of our respect and to give our team the opportunity to commemorate the day. Smiths City Finance will also be closed on this day.

While our stores are closed, you'll still be able to shop with us online at smithscity.co.nz as usual.

We'll be back to business as usual on Tuesday, 27 September, but we do apologise is advance for any inconvenience our closure on Monday may cause.
